Tools I've built
Real apps and AI generators โ most built in Claude Code, Base44, or Lovable, several live and in use.
Herbal Tea Blends App Live
Turns someone's mood, flavor, and wellness focus into a tea blend they can actually make โ proportions, steeping, and a reflection prompt. Built from a written spec that keeps the app, sales page, and printables in sync.
Open the app โA complete AI agent team
Role-based agents โ operations, communications (runs a five-point check), marketing, sales, delivery, quality, and a Chief of Staff that routes work between them. Summoned by name; a team-meeting command has them argue a decision and hand back one plan.
WellnessHub Studio dashboard
A dashboard I run my whole business from โ content, products, projects in one place. I wired a slash command to it that files raw work into the right type, converts dates, and de-duplicates before it writes. The app holds the work; the command does the data entry.
Meal Planner App
Turns ten recipe bundles into a working planner: pick a focus, get a week of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and a grocery list that adds itself up. All 299 recipes loaded and running.
Joy Tracker
A health and habit tracker built to turn everyday logging into something people actually keep up with โ the same interactive-tool model I keep coming back to instead of static content.
Kitchen Cabinet Pharmacy companion Live
A fast-lookup companion to a printed guide. The key decision: it never states dosage amounts โ it links back to the guide instead. A safety boundary and a cleaner product, on purpose.
See the app โColoring Prompt Studio
Builds detailed, ready-to-paste prompts for illustration and coloring-page art, with a switch between line-art and full color output. Turns "I don't know what to type" into a finished prompt.
Rhythm & Joy
Answer five setup questions each week and the app generates that week's schedule and a daily checklist โ adjusted for a changing work-and-family calendar. Built to survive a real, unpredictable week.
Calm Beyond Anxiety
Takes a book's frameworks and turns them into interactive tools instead of one more thing to read โ the difference between owning information and actually using it.
Classroom Tracker
A tracking app for my own teaching: logs sessions, auto-averages six weeks of goal data, tallies minutes, and assembles a year-end report. Built around one hard rule โ no student names, ever; every student is a number and the key stays on paper.
Sites I've built
Hand-built in Lovable โ real structure, copy, and design, not drag-and-drop templates. And starting to build for others.
April Joy Wellness Live
My wellness brand's home โ services, story, and community, built and shipped start to finish.
Visit site โApril Joy Studio Live
The storefront for my digital creations โ printables, journals, apps, and templates.
Visit site โClient work, in progress
A website for a small local bread business now, with a t-shirt shop next. Early and informal, but real practice building for someone whose needs aren't mine.
Things I've designed & published
April Joy Studio โ printable and digital products, sold on Beacons and Amazon KDP.
Journals & reflection pages
Guided journals and printable reflection pages, including a seasonal tea-ritual journal โ designed for real daily use, not just to look pretty.
Coloring books Live on KDP
Original coloring books published on Amazon KDP and Beacons, cover to interior.
Weekly tea-blend bundles
A recurring series โ each bundle pairs a recipe, a plant-education page, a reflection page, and a walkthrough video.
Midlife Momentum Mapper
An app-plus-planner product with a companion assistant โ one small step at a time toward a bigger goal.
Templates, planners & prompt packs
Canva templates and AI prompt packs that make useful tools approachable for beginners.
The human side of the work
Where the "build for the person" instinct comes from โ real people, every week.
Skool community leader
I run a wellness community with a weekly rhythm โ a tea ritual, two reflection sessions, and a guided meditation. Live, consistent, and free, week after week.
Herbalist & holistic wellness coach
A trained herbalist building a handmade herbal line and teaching plant-based, everyday wellness โ education-first, never hype, no medical claims.
Content across platforms
Video, short-form, and email built on documented systems, so a full production week runs on rails around a full-time job.
Always leveling up
Actively building the technical foundation under the work.
Certified Prompt Design Professional (CPDP)
Skill files and custom AI assistants โ the certification behind my agent team. Capstone in progress.
Vibe Coding Certification
Building real, functioning apps with AI-assisted development. Final project is a working app I built.
AI Consultant Certification
Bringing AI into real businesses as practical, human-centered systems.
Herbalist & Wellness Training
Plus 13 years of licensed teaching experience in special education and dyslexia intervention.
The through-line
Everything I build gets made in evenings and weekends, around a full-time teaching job โ which means it has to be scoped to actually finish and simple enough to survive a busy week. I'd rather ship the smaller thing that's genuinely done than the ambitious one stuck at eighty percent.
I also ask whether something should be built, not just whether it can be. I've cut features that would have made a demo look better and the product work worse โ an image generator I chose not to build, dosing information I kept out of an app on purpose.
"The code works" is where I start, not where I stop. It isn't done until a real person can use it โ and I've watched them try.
That's the teacher in me. The whole job is taking something a person is sure they can't do, finding where it actually breaks, and clearing away everything else. I bring that to a confusing interface, a bloated workflow, or a blank text box โ and I test my work hard before I ever call it done.
